Four different systems count these, which is why they do not match: the first two are traffic, the last two are people we can name.
The market
Saint Petersburg first. Every figure below links to its source.
$925M
Russian coffee imports, first 9 months of 2025
+45.5% year on year
Sfera.fmSpending on coffee is rising while the number of classic coffee shops falls — Saint Petersburg lost roughly a quarter of them in a year. Consolidation and the shift to takeaway make repeat custom the survival metric for an independent. Chains solved that with their own apps. Independents have nothing comparable.

The problem
Independent coffee shops are locked out of the tools chains take for granted
- No digital loyalty infrastructure — chains have had it for years
- Paper cards guests lose, with no data behind them
- No way to tell a regular from a passer-by
- Building it in-house costs more than it returns
- Coffee prices rising, with nothing given back for loyalty
- A separate paper card for every cafe, and nothing to show for any of them
- Only chains run loyalty programmes worth joining
- No easy way to find and back the independents nearby

Why now
- Saint Petersburg lost roughly a quarter of its classic coffee shops in a year — survivors need regulars, not footfall
- Coffee imports into Russia rose 45.5% year on year: demand is not the problem
- Chains captured loyalty through their own apps; independents were left without an answer
- No loyalty network in Russia is purpose-built for independent cafes
Why me
- 22-year-old Turkish founder, three years in Saint Petersburg — solo
- Full-stack: native apps on both platforms, the web product and the backend. Shipped v2.0 to four stores without external capital
- Ten cafes signed and onboarded in person, one at a time
- Solo is a real risk. The first engineering hire in this round is the mitigation, and it is line two of the budget
What sets us apart
Built for independents from the first line of code
No direct competitor
No shared loyalty network in Russia is purpose-built for independent cafes
Zero hardware
A smartphone at the counter is the whole requirement
One coffee passport
Stamps and rewards from every partner cafe in a single wallet
iiko POS integration
Built and deployed — the hard part of cafe distribution, already done
Network effect
Every cafe added makes the wallet worth more to every guest, and the reverse
Four app stores
App Store, Google Play, RuStore and AppGallery — full coverage of the Russian market
The position is open. Holding it means density, not features.
Revenue: zero, deliberately
The app is free for guests and free for cafes. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no billing in production. That is a choice about sequencing, and here is the trigger that ends it.
1
The trigger
When charging starts
Nothing gets priced until a second and third cafe reach that volume. Until replication is proven, any price would be a guess dressed as a plan.
Decision rule
2
Cafe tools
Not yet priced
Paid tooling for partner cafes on top of the free tier, with the iiko integration as the wedge. No pricing has been tested with a cafe.
Candidate
3
Analytics
Not yet priced
Visit and cohort data for cafes and small chains, once there is enough of it to be worth buying.
Candidate
Density first, price second. We would rather show you a zero than a projection we cannot stand behind.
What happens next
One question decides the next twelve months: does cafe number two look like cafe number one?
